Using CartaSVG

Guide

Draw, organise and export projects with the essential tools always within reach.

Create or import

Start with a blank artboard, a preset size, or an SVG file. You can also embed PNG, JPEG, and WebP images from your device.

Draw and edit

Use selection, shapes, text, pencil, and pen tools. Drag handles to transform objects and switch to nodes to refine paths.

Organise the artwork

Group, align, and arrange objects. The Layers panel controls names, visibility, locking, and stacking order.

Export and keep

Download SVG to preserve vectors or PNG, JPEG, and WebP for an image. Export the CartaSVG project to continue editing it.

Tools and selection

The arrow selects and transforms objects. Node selection edits path points. Shapes, text, pencil, and pen tools create new elements; a drag below the minimum threshold is ignored to prevent accidental objects.

Right-click, or touch and hold, opens relevant actions. Properties change with the selection and accept only values supported by the object.

Keyboard shortcuts

Ctrl/Cmd + Z

Project and exported files

A CartaSVG project preserves the editable scene and embedded resources. SVG retains shapes and paths; PNG, JPEG, and WebP produce a raster image at the chosen size.

Local data and offline use

Projects and versions belong to the browser profile. After offline preparation you can keep working without a connection, but you should still download backups of important work.
